On A Whim

Once a bi-weekly hiker, a frequent coffee shop dweller, and a library nook stalker, my solitary adventures have gradually come to a standstill. But then, on a whim, I decided, “Why not now?” I parked my car in a downtown spot right next to the Junker’s Nest Village and moved with haste as if I were the Tin Man desperately in need of oil. At Asheley’s Closet a cinnamon incense hit my sense, too much or just right, the little bear within me couldn’t decide. Two cardigans, one mustard and one the softest gray swayed gently with me as I approached the register to pay. A C- is posted. My grade. Too much spent in too little time. I’ll try again next week. The library – a free space to take up space.

Love, Jaclynn
