Picking and Choosing and Planning

As if waiting for a dust cloud to settle, I wait for my mind. The day, as well as the past few months, have created quite the tornado. What do you mean we’re two weeks from listing our house? Where in the heck did these past few months go?

I’m feeling the pressure. Thankfully, Dave’s sister is visiting this weekend, and I’m hopeful her exuberance will keep our eyes on the prize. This week, I’ll focus on throwing out, gifting, or donating the piles of miscellaneous items standing like soldiers against the living room wall and bedroom floor. I’ll also buy flowers to plant along the pathway leading up the front walk. Such a nice little touch for the real estate photos.

We’re closing this week on selling the cabin, too!

With just three more weeks of in-person sessions, I’m soaking up these final days. It will be an odd transition but liberating to work from anywhere.

Driving to the Atlanta airport today, I saw a dead armadillo on the side of the road. An armadillo!? Are you freaking kidding me? Are they the roadkill of Georgia, like possums, to Washington?

I’m unsure about cabinet colors and trying to decide between wood stains. Will the color we picked for the kitchen floor clash with our cabinets? I’m planning on calling USA Cabinets and telling them my dilemma. Hopefully, they can steer me in the right direction.

Do you ever ask the waiter to pick your meal? I do.

I’m dead tired. A long flight after excessive picking of carpet, tile, and hardwood colors have me needing to refresh my brain.

See you tomorrow! Love, Jaclynn
