So Long, Farewell…Almost

Ever on the hunt for LPs at dirt-cheap—or even “here, just take this”—prices, Dave and I dug into the website Millions of Records. We were pleasantly surprised to snag seven records, most priced under $5, including a Disney’s Encanto soundtrack for Evelyn. The Easter egg hunt of finding new, lovely records to spin is never-ending—and a joy.

It’s getting close to game time, and I’m not talking about the Final Four in three days. I’m talking Disney. The extra-large shopping cart is filled to the brim with all the necessities—and the nots. Like those massive, sugar-crystal-topped blueberry muffins that are totally unnecessary, but also a delicious carbohydrate load for trekking around the parks.

I’m most proud of my plan to make 24+ hard-boiled eggs into egg salad, two rotisserie chickens into chicken salad, and who knows how many cans of tuna into tuna salad. Each will work as a plop-on-a-plate situation or tucked into one of my homemade sandwich buns—which I still need to whip up.

Have I told you about my aspirations for Bunny’s back patio area? Sure, there are a couple of rocking chairs with a side table between them and a large rug for people—but we all know it’s Bun Bun’s space, really. Since cleaning and organizing it, he now has a child-sized tipi for a hideout, plus his already established two litter boxes, and his ever-full food and water dishes. Recently, I’ve been hiding apples, blueberries, carrots, lettuce, and tomatoes for him to forage.

I’d also love to add a kid-sized pool—or a low-profile storage container—filled with dirt and maybe even planted with lettuce or grasses so he can dig and have himself a heyday. He’s a good bunny. Not much for being picked up, but he’ll bounce over for a few pets, and he’s especially cute when he does his midair flip kicks and peel-outs.

Holy cow—when did it become 11 p.m.? I really meant to go straight to bed after my 9 p.m. session, but between the vinyl-buying extravaganza, pausing to listen to coyote howls, and reassuring Archie that all is well, here we are.

Time to bid you adieu.

I hope your day was excellent.
Love,
Jaclynn

PS. This is from the other night and just how loud those ‘yotes can get!
