My body is abuzz from all the activity, and now that the final guests have exited, I can take a few moments and write.
Pumpkin carving was the highlight, for sure. Dave and Evelyn went for the essential triangle eyes and wide half-moon month, whereas I went for a top-skill-level Mexican skeleton.
I told Dave (and he was impressed) that everyone else – besides his friends from Georgia – didn’t know each other. And still, in-depth conversations were being held in corners of various rooms.
I simply love bringing people together like that.
I’m fairly sure the fire has some flames remaining. However much I love a good fire, my feet are sore, my eyes are heavy, and my gas is empty.
I’ll have more energy tomorrow. Talk to you then.
Love, Jaclynn
