Take It To The Limit

So here I am, sitting down to write this blog post while savoring spoonfuls of creamy Cookie Butter spread. The delightful taste of graham crackers combined with the smoothness of peanut butter makes it the perfect remedy for a long, challenging week. As I indulge in this delicious treat, my mind wanders to a recent article I came across that left me astounded.

The article discussed a groundbreaking discovery linking lupus to the brain, resulting in psychotic breaks and symptoms similar to schizophrenia. It recounted the stories of two women who had been deeply affected by this condition. One of them was hospitalized for twenty years – unable to function, almost catatonic – while the other had become uncommunicative and mentally ill for ten years. However, both of them were given a round of immunosuppressants, and to everyone’s astonishment, just a few months ago, they were discharged from the hospital, completely free of mental illness symptoms. They were finally able to reconnect with their loved ones and embrace life again.

This real-life “Awakening” is nothing short of a miracle. It highlights the incredible progress we have made in understanding and treating complex medical conditions. The fact that these women, who were once trapped in the darkness of mental illness, are now leading fulfilling lives is truly inspiring.

As I wrap up this blog post, I realize that I’m starting to feel the need for some much-needed rest. With a grateful heart and a mind full of newfound hope, I’ll be putting on my headphones to listen to an audiobook, allowing my tired body and mind to relax. Sometimes, in the midst of all the chaos and challenges we face, it’s important to take a step back, indulge in small pleasures like Cookie Butter, and recharge our spirits.

So, dear readers, I bid you goodnight, hoping that this tale of resilience and healing has left a lasting impression on your hearts, just as it has on mine. May we all find solace in the stories of triumph over adversity and continue to seek light even in the darkest of times.

Until next time, sleep well, dream big, and embrace the wonders that life has to offer.

Love, Jaclynn
