Eighteen days. Or in Evelyn’s words, sleeps. Eighteen sleeps until the road trip and bee-bop across the country time. Our UHaul pods arrived today! The drop-off guy clarified that we lucked out getting the metal instead of wood crate ones.
After packing fifteen boxes, a dresser, a trunk, and a cabinet into the first pod with ample room to spare, my worries about not having enough space are mostly gone.
I say mostly because I’ll never be certain until that latch is bolted down and the forklift is carrying the pods away next week.
Our guests are back from their day’s activities. They’re a later and louder bunch than us, but we’re rolling with it. Now that Evelyn’s usual bedtime is abandoned with Wilder’s excitement over checking out her toys, I wonder if bedtime will ever come.
It’s 11:30 PM, and I’m still hearing rustling. Turns out our 7-year-old guest’s usual bedtime isn’t until now, which makes me tired just thinking about it.
I better hurry and get this posted before I turn into a pumpkin.
Love,
Jaclynn
