You’ll be happy to know the next step in my adventure of raising ducks is almost here!
“Any day now” is the email response I just received from the lady on OfferUp about their hatching. So I’m like a kid watching the clock on the last day of school before the summer break. I can’t wait!
If you build it, they will come.
A habitat fit with a heating lamp, duckling crumbles, a milk jug to hold water, a plastic bin house, and straw are all here and ready for them. And then, we can expect eggs this fall because six months is when they should start laying.
Oh, and did you know Dave and I started a puzzle exchange group in our community last week, and it’s up to 36 members?
Since then, we’ve had 15 puzzles donated to us, had multiple people come over to pick up puzzles, and hand-delivered two to an overly pregnant woman. Because even though she’s in no place to drive, she can puzzle!
Also, three years ago today, Dave and I got married on Poipu Beach on Kauai. At sunrise, I was barefoot, our families and friends were there, and we took a plunge into the ocean in our wedding outfits. It was perfect.
I love you, Dave. Thank you for making my life better.
And lastly, and entirely out of left field, I’ve realized I’m a poor ender of things. Not only do I struggle with how to bring a blog post to a close, but I end sessions with clients awkwardly as well. “Uh, well, so I guess it’s time.”
Uh, well, so I guess it’s time.
Love,
Jaclynn
